The Beachfield Hotel
| Located on the sea front, our hotel
offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mounts Bay, from The Lizard
to Newlyn Harbour. A Victorian building, dating from the 1860s
and standing on grounds that were once fields and dunes where
fishermen dried their nets, the Beachfield Hotel has long been
a favourite for those who know Penzance well. It is conveniently
only a six-minute walk from the historic town centre. |
 |
| All of our
rooms have en suite facilities, remote control colour televisions,
refreshment trays, hairdryers and direct dial telephones. |
 |
| We are fully licensed
with a choice of both local and national beers, plus a wide selection
of fine wines. Where better to relax at the end of a busy day
than our friendly bar overlooking Mounts Bay. |
 |
| Adjacent to
the bar in our restaurant with its sea views, we
offer a wide selection of locally produced meats and vegetables
and, of course, a full range of fish – fresh from the sea. We
also cater for christenings, weddings and general functions. |
 |
|
We are the proprietors of our own Cornish Tuck shop where
you may order Cornwalls famous clotted cream, to be sent directly
to any address you wish. Newspapers and other purchases from the
shop can also be added to your hotel account – a unique convenience!!
For guests who wish to take advantage of the local golf courses,
a discount of 10% on fees at the Cape Cornwall Golf Club is available
to guests booking through the Hotel.
|
| The Beachfield makes an ideal
base for touring many historic and romantic locations for which
West Cornwall is world renowned, including Land's End, The
Minack Theatre, St Michael's Mount, Tate gallery and the Eden
Project. All these along with the Cornish Costal Footpath, for
those with walking in mind, make the Beachfield "a must" for your
stay in our beautiful area. |

Accessibility at the Hotel
We have a small car park at the front of the hotel, and opposite there is a large "pull-in". On the seafront, at about 300 yds there is a pay and display public car park.
There are three steps leading into the Hotel. Entering to the ground floor, reception, TV room, small conference room, bar area with seating and a ladies and gents toilet, are all on this level. Five steps lead up to our dining room.
While there are no bedrooms on the ground floor, eighteen stairs lead to our first floor bedrooms - one premier family, one premier double, two twin and two singles are on the flat, with two double and a single up a further five stairs. Second floor bedrooms are up eighteen stairs and bedrooms are repeated as the first floor.
Our staff will help with any special requirements you may need help with, if requested at the time of booking (e.g. luggage, specials diets). |
